Lotsa Stuff

So here I go with another long one. This time of year there is always so much going on, I should update weekly instead of saving it all for once, but that would mean I was organized and on top of everything and we all know that is just not me. This month has been so much fun, about three weeks ago I watched my sisters three kids for the weekend. Yep, that made 6 total. I also had work, soccer games, dance recitals, a sick baby, and YW lessons on top of all of that, and I have to say, I loved it. It helps that I adore my sisters kids. Plus, now when I need a kid break, I know just who to call (I know you can't wait Julie!) We took the kids to a picnic at Discovery park on Sunday that weekend. Now that was a little tough with the almost two year old, he wanted to go everywhere but where we were.

About a week after that we took our kids to stay with us at my parents condo in downtown Salt Lake. We swam on Wed night and on Thurs, we took them to the Discovery Musuem. I love that place. Kylie was in heaven pretending she was shopping, driving home, riding a horse, etc. It was so cute to see them use their imaginations. After the museum, my dad came and got the kids to stay with their Aunt Kristen. Trent and I had a night to ourselves! It was so much fun. We ate at The Roof, shopped at Gateway and saw Star Wars. (I actually really liked it too, so I guess I am a Trekkie now!) On Friday Caden, Kylie and Tyson got to go to Wheelers farm with Nana and Grandpa. Kylie finally got to ride her horse she has been asking to for months.

When we got back, Trents parents and his sister's family came and stayed for the weekend. We had lots of fun playing Agricola (an awesome game) and I kicked everyones trash every time. We again went to the Discovery park for a Sunday picnic dinner and I have to say I am officially sick of that place.


May 24th was my birthday and I had to sadly leave my twenties behind. I am not too excited about being thirty, but my friends and family made it a great birthday anyways. Trent was so sweet and really went all out this year. And thanks to all my friends for lunch and birthday goodies. I cannot believe I am thirty. Someone said to me thirty is the new twenty and I just told her that is what old people say to make themselves feel better.

Now I need to add a Tyson update. He is turning one in just a week and a half. He is still crawling, not close to walking, which is fine by me. He loves doing the actions to wheels on the bus. He says mama, dada, ba ba (bottle) and he will say Yaaae when he claps sometimes. He gets into everything now, so I am in baby proofing mode. Overall, he is still the cutest little guy and Caden and Kylie can't get enough of him.

Next, the kids are officially out of school. I am so excited for a summer of swimming, kids and relaxation (ha ha, like that is ever going to happen.) Today Caden and his friends came home from Zachs house and all the boys had their moms pack them a lunch and they wanted a picnic in the backyard. It was so cute. I packed a lunch for Caden and out they went with their blanket and sat and ate together. I just started thinking...I love summer. Of course the afternoon ended with Caden being grounded because he started being so whiny.

One last wonderful thing happened in the last few weeks, Trents brother and his wife just had a beautiful little boy. He is so stinking cute and I cannot wait to hold him. Congrats Ty and Tanille!

Under the Sea, Baby!

Kylie had her big dance recital just over a week ago. Let me tell you, those things go on and on just for you to finally see your daughter on stage for 3 minutes and then you have to wait another 75 minutes to see her again for 2 more. But when she was up there, it was all worth it. They were all so dang cute.

I took this video with my Camera. It is not as good as the video we took with our camcorder, but I do not know how to put that on my blog. Kylie is on the right end. You have to watch, she is so cute!

A Tribute To Trent

Can I just say, I love my husband! I know, cheesy (huh little sis), but I just have to give him credit because he is such a great help to me and I don't think he knows how much I appreciate him. Not only does he help with the kids, but when we have a baby he takes over every other night so I can get some sleep. With Tyson he has probably gotten up more nights than I have. Last night Kylie had a fever so I slept with her and Trent got up with Tyce 5 times (he is teething and not sleeping well). And he still woke up Sunday morning and made us all breakfast. Every Saturday he makes breakfast for the entire family (waffles and eggs) and he even takes the time to make my eggs separately because I like them differently than everybody else. He changes probably the same amount of diapers I do. Puts the kids to bed whenever I ask. Takes Caden to all his soccer games, and is coaching Kylies team this fall. Last weekend when we were watching my sisters three kids (that made 6 kids) he watched all but one while I went shopping, he juggled 5 during Kylies 2 hr dance recital (including an 11 month old and a 20 month old at the same time), and he was so great helping the entire weekend.

Last week he actually made little beaded rings for handouts for my young women lesson because I was so busy getting my lesson ready for church (he is going to hate that I am telling people that!) He is so funny and always makes me laugh, no fail, everyday. I could go on and on about the guy, but mainly, he is the best! He is such a great dad and I am so lucky to have him. Oh yeah, and he is totally hot! Right now he is at Instacare with all three kids having Kylies and Tysons ears checked while I get my lesson ready. Thanks Trent, I love you!

PS. I just got home from church and he cleaned almost the entire house while I was gone. He even did some dishes! Man, he is on a roll!

My Baby Girl

First of all, let me warn you, this is going to be yet another too long post all about my kids. Second of all, I have to take back what I said in my last post. I do not love spring as much as I thought. I wrote that on a beautiful warm spring day, but since then it has been way too cold, rainy and gloomy. Forget spring, I am all about summer baby!
We just celebrated Kylies 4th birthday. She has grown up so fast (I know moms all say that, but it is so true!) I am a little worried that she, being my only girl, is getting a bit spoiled. Especially after her birthday this year. I have decided I am going to be better next year and for Christmas, because this girl gets way too much. Here Kylie is as a beautiful baby girl the day we brought her home from the hospital.

I started putting her hair in piggies the day I could scrape enough hair together. This is Kylie at 8 months.

For her second birthday we took her to build a bear where she found her best friend for the next 12 months. She loved playing with her stuffed kitty cats. They went with her everywhere she went. Especially her little white one she got from Grandma Olsen.

On her birthday we had a "family fun night" of Kylie's choice and she chose to go to Classic. We brought her cupcakes and when we got home she was surprised with her dream dollhouse.

The day after her birthday was her first birthday party with friends. Every night as I tuck my kids in, I tell them what to dream about and every night Kylie would add to my dream suggestion, "and it is my birthday and all my friends come to my princess party." I was so excited to finally give her the party she has been talking about for a year.

Yes I made the cake and I am quite proud of it. Especially for someone who is not the craftiest or best cook anywhere!

The party started with makeovers at Kylies beauty shop. The girls got their nails painted, sparkly makeup and jewelry. Then they had a fashion show.

After that they hunted for dragon eggs and then had pizza, cake and ice cream.

Happy birthday Kylie. We love you so much. I love your sweet personality and even your spunk and attitude (sometimes).

Caden and Trent went to the Jazz game against the Lakers when the Jazz won. Caden LOVED it. He came home and gave me the score along with a play by play of the last quarter. He rode in on trax and really had fun on his "Guys night out" with dad.
