I Am Back, again.

I am so excited to get back into blogging again.  It has been such a great resource for my yearly Family books I like to make and thanks to one of my beautiful friends, I now know how to order a book pulled directly from my blog instead of having to redo the whole thing.  I have too much to catch up on, so I am going to just start from now. 

On St Patricks Day, Kylie had a little friend over in the morning who told Kylie all about the leprechaun who came to her house, gave them a scavenger hunt, and turned their milk and breakfast green.  Did I miss something here?  Why did I not know about tricky Leprechauns invading houses on St Patty's day?  When Caden got home from school he told me he was going to catch a leprechaun today.  So I decided to get a little creative.  When the kids were in the basement I went down to join them.  Kylie had said how she wanted a green dinner.  When we went back upstairs, sure enough, some tricky little leprechaun must have heard her and turned our dinner green!!!!  So now Caden knew the leprechaun was here.  He got excited talking about catching him.  Sure enough, when Caden went upstairs to put away some toys he found a trail of green m&m's that led to a note saying "he he he, you'll never catch me!"  Uh-oh, the leprechaun heard Caden's plan and was determined to stay hidden.  He called his cousin Sophie and began looking in every room for that leprechaun.  My visiting teachers were there to witness it with me and it was so cute.  Sure enough, that tricky leprechaun was too quick.  But when the kids went to bed that night, they found the toilet water was green.  Hey, when a leprechaun needs to go, he needs to go.  I just didn't know they peed green.  Kylie thought that was disgusting.  It was a fun day.

Kylie went to a birthday party a few days ago and refused to dress up in the princess costumes they were provided.  She said she is too old for that.  What?!  Why is she growing up so fast.  For her birthday all she wants is her room redecorated....what happened to pet shops and barbies?  I was getting a little concerned that my little girl is growing up too fast until she came in with her baby girl.  Her doll's name is Brooke and she has been going everywhere with Kylie the last few days.  Kylie makes her breakfast, takes her shopping, has me babysit her, sleeps with her and I love it!  It is so cute and it is such a little girl thing to do.  So maybe she is not 5 going on 15 after all.

Tyson is the life of the family.  He is such a ball of energy and mischief.  He is still getting into everything.  Yesterday he took a pen and colored all over (and I mean ALL over) our couch in the family room.  All I can say he is lucky to be so cute and loveable to help me forgive him of things like this.  He is talking more and more everyday, but I still think he is a bit behind for his age.  We are working on it though.  He LOVES to give me hugs and kisses.  He knows he will not get his sippy cup til he makes payment to me of one kiss and a hug (yes, I do bribe for loves).  He has even started playing with little friends that live close by.  He is the definition of a terrible 2, throws temper tantrums like none of my kids have done before, but it just makes me laugh.   

This is just an update of what the kids have been up to this March.  I am having difficulty with pictures and my computer, so hopefully there will be more of those to add later.

I got to go to girls camp this year and it was so much fun.  We actually called it "princess academy" and stayed at a really nice cabin.  I just love the young women and feel so blessed to get to serve with them.  When I got home, I was nervous as to the condition of my home, but I was pleasantly surprised.  Trent had cleaned the whole house and my sweet little kids had written me welcome home letters and crafts.  I had missed them and was SO happy to be home.

This August Trent ran a half marathon with Jeremy and Jeremy's brother in law, Ryan.  Trent ran the whole time andacted as if it was not even that hard.  WHATEVER!  I could never do that, nor do I want to ever do that.  I am so proud of them, good job guys!

 He left the night before and spent the night at Ryan's house.

Summer Cabin Trip

One of my kids favorite places to go is Grandpa's cabin.  It is in such a beautiful place with rivers, a big lake, great hiking, you name it.  We try to go there every summer.

 I cannot believe how big Caden and Bo are.  They love it when they get to see each other.

 When we were up there Kylie could not get enough of her Grandpa.  She is a Grandpa's girl all the way.

 We spent a day in Boise at a waterpark called Roaring Springs.  Tyson was so funny.  He sat there foreverputting his hands over these little water geysers and daying "where is it" and I would say I don't know.  He then would let it go and joyously say "there it is".  He would laugh so hard.  He literally entertained himself for an hour straight.  I was getting so sick of acting surprised everytime, but his laugh and adorable smile made it worth it.

 One day the boys and I went for a beautiful hike.  We drove up the mountain for about an hour and then got out and hiked to this hidden lake.   I love how beautiful it is away from crazy life and spending time in nature.

 You cant go to the cabin without some ATV's, right!  Tyson LOVES going for a ride, in fact, all the kids do.

 There are some natural hot springs that flow into the river here.  While we were relaxing the the warmth, Caden learned how to skip stones.  He could get them to go pretty far.

 And of course, boating!!!  Look at my little stud muffin.

 Caden is a little daredevil.  The whole time he is being pulled he kept giving thumbs up to go faster.  Of coarse we listened and we threw him off twice. 

 Kylie, however, was a bit nervous, but I was so proud of her for going.  We took it easy with her, but she still had a scared face the entire time.

 Trent insisted I kneeboard with him, but I should have known better.  At first it was fun, but I still knew to keep my distance.

 Unfortunately, I did not succeed and this is what my loving husband does!  This picture was taken right before I went under.

 On the last day, Grandpa took Caden, Kylie and Trent fishing.  I had asked Kylie if she wanted to go shopping with me or fishing with the boys and she chose the boys.

 However, after spending a long day, standing there, waiting for a fish to bite a string, she came home and sadly told me she chose wrong, ha ha.  I guess she is my girl after all!!!

 Caden caught the biggest fish of the day and he let everyone know it, again and again.

 It was the funnest week and by the end, we were spent!

Fourth of July

Yeah, Yeah, I know, the fourth of July was FOREVER ago.  But it is what it is.  My credo is better late than never.  This year we had SO much fun on the fourth of July.  We played all weekend.  Let me start by saying we live in the best neighborhood ever.  On Sat, July 3rd, we went to a neighborhood party during the day put on by the HOA.  We had a barbeque, bouncy houses, waterslides, carnival games, etc.  The kids had a blast.  Afterwards we went to one of our friends house and we had another barbeque for dinner.  At 10 pm I needed to head home and log in so we left the barbeque at around 9:45 and I ran Trent and the kids down to Thanksgiving Point so he could watch the fireworks with the kids.  Once the fireworks were over Trent walked to a gas station pulling all three kids in a wagon.  He had to get far enough to be away for the traffic so I could run down there, pick them up and get back within 15 minutes.  When I got there, this is who I found.  I love that Trent was willing to take them and pull them in the wagon halfway home all on his own.  He is such a good dad.

 The next night we went to the Stott's house and a bunch of neighbors came and we lit our own fireworks.  The kids loved hanging out with their friends.

 Tyson played the whole time on the Farleys porch with his little buddies.  They were so cute and I loved that they were having so much fun on the porch because it kept them away from the fireworks in the street.  Trent spent most of the time helping light the fireworks and when the illegals were pulled out, of course he volunteered to step up.

The next night we then went to Kristen's house and did fireworks and a barbeque again.  Yep, we pretty much partied for 3 days this year for the fourth.
